To prepare us for our filming we decided to experiment with different kinds of lighting to see if that would help us with ideas for our filming. Below are the photographs.

Sound

Sound in films can be used to create a mood for the audience. Sound can be used in different ways for example a music track can be used over the top (eg Rocky - Montage) or as a sound bridge (linking one scene to another)

"A sound film is a motion picture with synchronized sound, or sound technologically coupled to image, as opposed to a silent film." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_film

"Sound is a travelling wave which is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing and of a level sufficiently strong to be heard, or the sensation stimulated in organs of hearing by such vibrations." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound

Mise-en-Scene

The Mise-en-Scene is a french expression used to describe the design aspects of a production. From the background to the clothes worn by the actors.
For our production we will set it in the modern day, with the actors wearing modern clothing.
